  1. I absolutely love that you have posts on “the basics” and “the essentials”. This is so useful to people that are beginner cooks! I know I could have used this a while ago when I first started! I know that you said that you were Irish so do you live in America? Have you ever been to Ireland! I absolutely adore Irish food haha!

    1. Thank you for your kind words, Kristel. To answer your questions, my parents were both born and raised in Ireland. My father, after arriving in New York when he was older, got a job with an airline. Thankfully, our very large family was able to take advantage of the free travel benefit through TWA and we traveled back and forth to Ireland every summer. I am so proud of my parents accomplishements and I’m thrilled to have had the privilege to visit Ireland and my family across “the pond”.

  2. This is one of the Best Blogs I have ever seen. You are truly amazing. What an excellent list – Perfect for a beginner. Wish I had access for this when my daughter first moved out. I made a “Baking Experience” Gift Basket for my Sister-in-law last year. Next year I am making her a “Cooking Experience” Gift Basket. Your lists will be very helpful to me! 🙂
